Little Boxes-Little Frames

There is a contest for the Showtime show "Weeds" going on right now that involves making a music video with the song "Little Boxes" by Malvina Reynolds. In short, the rules of contest calls for the contestants to either cover the original song or re-write new music for the lyrics of the song, and then make a music video for it. My younger brother, Garen, decided to do a video and asked me if I could be in involved with the music part of the thing. So in a weeks time, I wrote new music for the video and recorded it in "Garage Band". This is the piece...

RED AND GREEN

I apologize for the lack of posts...I have started a personal film and just been freelancing on different projects. In a few weeks I will upload some of the artwork from the film, but I can't do it just now. More details later on!!!

After being frustrated all day with perspective drawings, I decided to just paint and not worry about things making sense. These painting are loosely based on two characters that have been swimming in my head in the past few days.

The Animal Family

Last spring I did some illustrations for a friend's class thesis project. The paper was on the children's book 'The Animal Family' by Randall Jarrell and the book has original illustrations done by none other than Maurice Sendak (Where the Wild Things Are). My friend asked me to do some illustrations mirroring his paper...so I did the following 4 digital illustrations.
